HBHK Donates $2,000 to Goldsboro Fire Department’s Hook & Ladder Summer Camp

Goldsboro, NC - February 14, 2024 - We are proud to announce a donation of $2,000 to support the City of Goldsboro Fire Department's second annual Hook and Ladder summer camp. The weeklong camp aims to educate and engage local youth aged 8 to 13 on important safety topics such as fire behavior, pool safety, and bicycle safety.

The firm’s Attorney Bryan King, a partner at the firm and a volunteer firefighter with the Jordans Chapel Volunteer Fire Department, and Paralegal Heather McAlduff, a volunteer with the Summer Camp, presented the check to the Goldsboro Fire Department on February 14, 2024. The donation will help the department reach its goal of raising $4,000 to cover the costs of shirts, meals, snacks, drinks, and supplies for the camp participants.

"As a volunteer firefighter myself, I understand the importance of educating our youth about fire safety and emergency preparedness," said Bryan King. "Our firm is thrilled to support the Goldsboro Fire Department's efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of our community's children through the Hook and Ladder summer camp. We commend the department for their dedication to this cause and are honored to contribute to this impactful initiative."
